Accessing the library out of hours:
The Library Cyber Room, with 6 networked PCs and a selection of reference materials, is accessible 24 hours a day
and can be found on the first floor of the education centre, by the discussion rooms.
A white BOOK RETURN BIN is situated next to the Education Centre entrance on the TOP FLOOR corridor of Newham Hospital.
Books may be returned here when the library is closed.

Finding the library
The Knowledge & Library Service is located upstairs in the Education Centre at Newham Hospital.
Getting to Newham General Hospital:

By Tube:
Plaistow Station is on the District and Hammersmith & City lines. The hospital is one mile from the tube, and if you wish to walk, turn right out of the station and walk to the end of the road (The Broadway/Greengate Street). Cross over at the traffic lights and continue your walk along Prince Regent Lane. Glen Road is about 10 minutes off this road on the left hand side. Taxis can also be taken from the tube.
By Bus:
Buses 262, 473, 147 and 276 stop close to the hospital. Buses 5, 15, 15B and 330 can be taken to Barking Road. Alight at the Greengate stop.
Mobility Buses:
Buses 903, 908 and 909 run to the hospital.
By Car:
Limited car parking is available in the hospital together with disabled spaces. Please only bring your car if it is absolutely essential. There is a charge for visitors using the car park as follows:
Access is via the main entrance to the Education Centre on the ground floor at the eastern end of the Hospital, at Zone 2.
For late opening on Monday and Tuesday access to the Knowledge & Library Service is via the first floor entrance to the Education Centre between 5pm and 7pm, using proximity ID badge or press the buzzer and we will let you in.
